Actemium Warehouse Control System with 24/7 service
DPD Netherlands relies on the Actemium Warehouse Control System software (WCS) for its 10 automated and manual depots.
The WCS software has been operational for more than 5 years now and was developed together with the DPD IT engineers. The Actemium WCS controls all the sorting installations and service lanes in the DPD depots, a leading international express and parcel service provider in Europe, to fulfill the thousands of parcels that are delivered in the Netherlands.
Naveen Jagroep, DPD’s IT Service Manager states “In order to guarantee the availability of our WCS, which is critical to our business, we have a 24/7 service contract with Actemium. In the last five years, we have not experienced any problems; Actemium carries out preventive and corrective maintenance in a timely fashion and always meets the agreed response times.”
All parcels that require manual checking are routed to ‘service lanes’ to await for the WCS to send configurable instructions for further processing. “The WCS that controls our sorting installations for all the automatically processed parcels and service lanes were recommended, developed and installed by Actemium,” says Jagroep.
